The US President signed a new executive order to promote the development of AI. There are many applicable aspects to the order for the research of the HTC Lab, including direction on Worker Preparation: Agencies will train people to prepare for the changes resulting from AI, including automation, through apprenticeships, fellowships and training programs. Unfortunately it appears to be an unfunded initiative, so it will be interesting to see if/how it shapes research funding. More information is at:
